A Short History of Solar Energy Panels

How Solar Energy Panels are made.

Solar Energy Panels

Have you ever considered switching your current source of electricity over to something much more affordable and safer for the planet? If you were not already aware, the source of electricity you currently use is very dangerous to the environment. The use of fossil fuels are contributing toward the majority of the problems we are currently experiencing with the atmosphere. The good thing is that there is a way to still have electricity without destroying the planet.

Solar energy panels are one of the newest most popular ways to distribute electricity. Perhaps the biggest benefit of all is not having to pay a monthly power bill. With the current economical situation, that piece of information is music to the ears of billions of people all around the world. The cost of installation may be somewhat on the pricey side, but professional installation is not the only route. There are ways to install solar energy panels yourself. Typical cost of materials and home installation altogether adds up to around $350.00 per panel. However, most homes require more than one panel, especially if the goal is to power the entire home.

If you start small, eventually you can have your home running completely off of solar energy in no time. At very worst, you'll be spending less on your power bill each month. It is a known fact that most people spend more on their power bill than any other bill they have.

Something that not many people have been informed about when it comes to solar energy panels is that the energy of the sun is renewable, meaning that it can be used time and time again. For example, if you are concerned that the sun will not shine everyday, then you can just use the energy your solar panel has accumulated from the previous days.

Another thing that solar energy panels can do besides save you thousands of dollars per year is actually make you money. If your solar panel has enough excess energy, you can sell the energy to your local power company - and do not think for a second that it sells cheap. Just think of how much a monthly bill costs!

Deciding to install solar panels can also qualify you for a governmental tax credit for up to 30% of the cost of your solar panel installation. A very exciting part of having solar energy panels is that you get to talk to other people about it. You can express your reasons for deciding to switch, as well as talk about the money you are saving with your system. Chances are that talking about solar energy panels and the benefits thereof to your family and friends will have a domino effect and result in those closest to you making the switch as well.

As you can see, there is really no reason to not to switch from your current source of electricity to solar power. To make things more interesting, you may even want to add wind power generators for extra power. To set a better example and to make life easier, look for other ways to go green such driving energy-efficient cars and leaving the lights off when they are not in use. A few simple steps is all it takes to create an energy-efficient lifestyle.

History of Home Wind Power

Home Wind Power

Home Wind Power Is The Way To Go

At the present point in time around the world, many people are switching to green energy sources. Green energy sources are natural, clean and renewable ways to provide electricity to people without the use of fossil fuels. These sources of energy are clean for the environment and have many benefits to them that regular methods do not have. A few of these known clean energy sources are solar energy, Hydropower, and wind power. Solar panels are created to harness the energy from the sun that shines each day. Hydropower is created from large amounts of water pushing turbines to create electricity.

Through the use of wind turbines, now wind can even supply us electricity. Home wind power is on the rise in many countries including this one. You will find most of the wind turbines in rural areas or large open fields. This is the best place to harness the energy of the wind.

Wind turbines produce energy by wind blowing on the turbine blade causing it to spin, which will in turn generate electricity. This energy source is constantly renewable since we most likely will not run out of wind. It is also very clean for the environment since no waste material is produced by this method.

There are many other benefits in having wind power as your source of electricity. It helps protect our environment from pollution and helps keep your bills down. The price varies from place to place but remains cheap anywhere it is. Receiving regular electricity can cost you sometimes over twelve cents per kilowatt. Wind power energy can be anywhere from five to ten cents per kilowatt.

Since this new means of energy is on the rise that means that more jobs and new jobs will appear. As these commercial business harnessing wind energy expand so will the jobs. Therefore, in switching to wind power you are not only helping yourself you are helping the future economy, along with the future heath of our planet.

Wind power is gaining a lot of ground in other European countries. It is growing here in our country but not at the same rate as let us say Denmark. We as a country are still vastly dependent on fossil fuels for our energy sources.

Even though it is on the rise in some places, it might still be hard for you to get depending on where you live. There are not a lot of options in highly populated urban areas, but in many rural communities all over the country wind turbines a popping up everywhere. If you are in reach of a commercial company selling wind power you can purchase it from them.

However if you cannot building your own might be an option for you. If this is not the case, you might want to try searching for any individual that builds and or sells small wind turbines for homes. These generally can be mounted on roofs but the more regular way is to build a tower and attach the turbine to the top maximizing the use of the wind that it will come in contact with. Wind power is a great and cheap way to power your home. It is clean for the environment and is constantly renewable. This maybe the energy source for you.

I really enjoyed reading the information you have provided here about the solar energy panels and the home wind power. I have been researching these two methods of power to use on my father's little farm.

Thanks

Solar energy panels are a way of the future and some day in the future we will all be generating power from our homes with wind power. I can see it happening already. People can get in on the act, not just businesses! Great hub!

We live in the country and are now using 100% solar for electricity and heating. We do have a backup generator just in case of emergencies. Our house is build of straw bails and it is amazing how little energy we need to heat or cool this place.
